From seed to bouquet
We offer a unique combination of high-end garden-scape floral installations whilst still having dirt under our fingernails from having lovingly grown each flower from seed. We have an intimate knowledge of each individual stem which allows us to craft and transform them into something truly magical for your event.
This union between flower farm and floristry allows us to grow specifically for your event. This also reduces waste and environmental impact whilst ensuring the very best of British flowers. We select specialist and heritage seed from trusted UK suppliers, peat-free compost and we harvest rain water and natural irrigation to supply all our flower plots.
Handpicked flowers
We pick the best of the blooms in the field for your event a few days before the date. Often they are still in the ground two days before to ensure your flowers are super fresh, have longevity and retain their scent.
Whether you’re ordering a gift bouquet or a bespoke wedding package, the quality remains the same; the flowers are harvested, conditioned and curated in the days leading up to delivery to you. In much the same way as food miles can be surprisingly high in your weekly shop, so can the “flower” miles add up in floristry. In growing our own flowers within York and the surrounding area we keep this to the absolute minimum.
Sustainable practice
As we handle everything from sowing the seeds, growing and harvesting the flowers, we can ensure the highest quality of floristry and flowers that can be enjoyed without compromise. We use a combination of organic practices and permaculture for the farm.
We specialise in the use of sustainable floral mechanics, such as eliminating all use of “Floral Foam” and single use plastic from our installations. Every thing we use is either reused, recycled or biodegradable.
We provide a refreshingly sustainable and deeply personal approach of growing through to floral design.

Founded with a deep-rooted love for all things floral, Wild Bee Flower Farm blossomed from an appreciation of how much can be said with flowers. I love that flowers are a universal language which play a part in all areas of life’s big moments and even the most intimate. From celebrating the beginning of a marriage through to marking the end of a life, flowers often convey what can't be said in words.
Over the years I have honed my craft in both growing and floristry and I will be continuously learning for years to come; both jobs keep you on your toes and challenge you creatively consistently… I love it! I have developed an artistic style that matches our flower farm; wild and super fresh, bursting with colour.
