Our ‘Three Bees’ wedding package is a very popular package for couples who want to stretch their creative wings in the making of their perfect day, but without the stress of having to create the more fiddly bouquets and buttonholes on the morning of the wedding (as if you haven’t got enough to worry about by that point!)
We often get asked what and how this works so I thought I would take this opportunity to write a blog explaining the process:
Step One: It starts with a conversation with the bridal couple about what they imagine their wedding to look like and how they imagine the flowers to play a part in the overall theme. We share images and ideas and start to build a picture that will allow us to create a design for the bouquets and buttonholes tailored to the couple. At this point we create a quote; prices vary depending on the size, amount of flowers used and time it takes to create. Our style is wild and whimsical, with the added flourish of scent; we use a lot of scented foliage such as mint and scented geranium to enhance the bouquets and compliment the flowers.
Step Two: Our yearly planting scheme encompasses a large variety of colour and texture to meet the individual styles of all our couples (also allowing for those last minute bookings). If given enough advance warning we can often plant in specific colours for your wedding day and send you pictures from seed to flower. We cannot offer specific flower species due to working with Mother Nature and all that she throws our way, but we can promise a colour scheme and beautiful fresh flowers.
Step Three: We invite the couple to the farm the weeks leading up to their big day for a cup of tea/glass of bubbly and to have a walk around the farm to see the buds prior to blooming and to finalise all the plans, such as ribbons and delivery.
Step Four: Delivery or pick up of our floral arrangement buckets. We pick the best blooms in the field the day before delivery to allow the flowers to be conditioned over night. It’s then over to the wedding party to get creative!
Step Five: Delivery of bouquets and buttonholes on your wedding day.
“The flowers, bouquets, and buttonholes that Sarah provided for my wedding this past week were extraordinarily beautiful and unique! The atmosphere that they helped to create in the church was like a magical wildflower garden, which was exactly what I wanted. Upon entering the church, all of our guests commented on their amazing scent as well as how special and memorable the whole effect was. In addition, in the lead up to the wedding, I loved discussing ideas with Sarah who absolutely understands flowers and was able to interpret my ideas even when I couldn't fully verbalise them.” Heather and Ollie July 2018
